The boy in the picture going across that bridge is Matías. He is my son.
He lives a natural, free life. You may think he is a lucky boy, and indeed he is! But beyond a word as random as “luck,” Matias is enjoying the consequences of the beliefs of his parents and grandparents.
Costa Rica believes in sustainability. And so do we.
I believe in my children, and I believe in Costa Rica.
Maybe because I was born in a country with a small, almost uneventful past and a future so full of possibilities, I believe we can create a great heritage in the form of consciousness and a sense of personal responsibility about the human community’s wellbeing.
Sustainability is all about that! And what kind of father, community member, and human being would I be if, being born in one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world and in one of its most beautiful ones, I let slip the wonder in the midst of a search for money alone?
Costa Rica is all about Pura Vida. We believe that all life deserves respect and a place on the planet. It is part of being a Costa Rican, a father, and a human being.

When we say we care about the environment, we mean we have serious and constant policies and habits that can not only protect but also support the environment to thrive in these significant times.
We believe in education.
Epic Adventures will do its best to educate our collaborators, customers, suppliers, and the general public about environmental policies and the importance of a lesser impact on our nature.
Our collaborators will be educated on the Costa Rican legislation regarding sustainable and environmental practices to ensure compliance.
In the face of any irregular behaviors or irregularities witnessed by our collaborators, they must implement the legal procedures accordingly.
We believe in conservation
We believe in complying with Law 8839* by managing all waste generated by our office, customers, and collaborators.
We will maximize all resource savings, particularly water, electricity, and fuels.
Epic Adventures Costa Rica does not collect, market, consume, reproduce, exhibit, or keep in captivity, alter, or sell wild species, flora, and other wildlife that are legally protected, endangered, or vulnerable, and encourages customers to avoid purchasing products made with these species.
We believe in climate action
We prioritize climate action by evaluating emissions and adopting measures to reduce and offset our footprint.
·We will follow conservation area regulations and provide accurate information to employees and customers.
We give preference to environmentally friendly products that are recycled or recyclable, biodegradable, and/or re-usable. As well as high yielding products.
We do not use products that damage water, soil, or the ozone layer.
*Law 8839 in Costa Rica is the “Law for the Integrated Management of Water Resources.” This law aims to regulate and promote the sustainable and integrated management of water resources in the country. It establishes the principles, guidelines, and instruments for the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of water resources, as well as the participation of different stakeholders in water management. The law also addresses issues such as water quality, water rights, and the prevention of pollution. Overall, Law 8839 plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper management and conservation of water resources in Costa Rica.
We will communicate general aspects of relevant Social and Cultural Legislation to our employees in order to inform and ensure compliance.

We do not discriminate against any of our clients based on gender, race, sexual orientation, or disability, while also supporting accessible tourism.
At Epic Adventures Costa Rica, we do not commercialize or exhibit historical or archaeological artifacts. Therefore, in the event of any irregularity that undermines culture or any social irregularity, our employees must implement the reporting procedure.”
